MW4 Server Status
The fastest way to know whether Modern Warfare 4 multiplayer is down for everyone or just for you: check the official channels below. During launch week (October 23 onwards) expect short queues and occasional login errors — that's launch load, not necessarily an outage.

Quick self-checks before blaming the servers
- Test another online game or app on the same device — if everything else works, it may be MW4.
- Restart the game client and re-sign in; launch-night session tokens expire fast.
- Check for a client update — multiplayer sometimes requires a day-one patch before matchmaking unlocks.
- Platform network test (PS5: Settings → Network; Xbox: Settings → General → Network settings; Switch 2: System Settings → Internet).
Common launch-night issues
- Long matchmaking queues — normal for the first hours; usually eases within a day.
- "Unable to connect" / error codes — retry after a few minutes; follow @ATVIAssist for known-issue posts.
- Store unlock delays — if multiplayer tiles don't unlock, restart the store/client after your region's unlock time.
